Hosted Service Addendum

Last Updated: 2026-08-07

This Hosted Service Addendum ("Addendum") applies to MBX Flow™ Hosted plans, where MediaBoxEnt Digital Studio LLC provisions and operates an MBX Flow instance for you on infrastructure we manage. It forms part of your agreement with us together with the Terms of Service, EULA, Refund Policy, and Privacy Policy. By purchasing, starting a trial of, or using a Hosted plan, you agree to this Addendum.

01

Scope & Precedence

This Addendum applies when you purchase, trial, or use an MBX Flow Hosted plan — an instance of the MBX Flow software that MediaBoxEnt provisions and operates for you on infrastructure we manage. It supplements our Terms of Service, End User License Agreement (EULA), Refund Policy, and Privacy Policy, all of which continue to apply. Where this Addendum conflicts with those documents on a point specific to the Hosted Service, this Addendum controls.

If you self-host MBX Flow on your own infrastructure, this Addendum does not apply to you — the standard documents describe your situation as written.

Please note that self-hosted licenses are not currently offered for new purchase: MBX Flow is presently sold as a Hosted service only. Self-hosting may be offered in the future — if you are interested, write to hello@mbxflow.com and we will let you know when it becomes available.

02

The Hosted Service

A Hosted plan gives you a dedicated, single-tenant instance of MBX Flow, reachable at its own address (for example, yourname.mbxflow.app), provisioned and operated by MediaBoxEnt. The software is the same MBX Flow described in the EULA; what changes is who runs the server.

Your content, connected accounts, credentials, schedules, analytics, and fan records remain yours. On a Hosted plan they are stored on infrastructure we manage, solely so we can operate your instance for you — see the "Hosted Plans" section of our Privacy Policy for exactly what that means for your data.

03

What MediaBoxEnt Manages for You

On a Hosted plan, MediaBoxEnt is responsible for the operational duties that the Terms of Service and EULA otherwise assign to you as a self-hosting operator:

  • provisioning and running the server your instance lives on, including HTTPS;
  • installing software updates — unlike self-hosted installations, Hosted instances are updated by us, and the EULA statement that the Software "does not automatically update itself" does not apply to Hosted plans;
  • infrastructure monitoring of the fleet your instance runs on.

These services are provided on a commercially reasonable, best-effort basis. Unless expressly agreed in writing (for example, in an Enterprise agreement), no specific uptime, availability, or response-time service level is guaranteed, and the Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability sections of the Terms of Service apply to the Hosted Service.

04

Availability & Interruptions

Interruptions can happen — for planned maintenance, for the updates we install, or through failure. As stated above, no specific uptime or availability level is guaranteed.

Scheduled posts are not lost when an interruption happens. A post whose publishing time passes while your instance is unavailable stays queued and is published when the instance returns, oldest first. It will therefore go out later than the time you chose, which for time-sensitive content may matter to you.

05

What You Remain Responsible For

Hosting changes who runs the server — not who runs your presence. You remain solely responsible for:

  • your login credentials, two-factor authentication device, and recovery codes for your instance;
  • the accounts, API keys, and credentials you connect inside the app, and your compliance with the terms of every third-party platform you connect;
  • supplying your own API keys for usage-based services you choose to use (for example, AI providers or image services) — those providers bill you directly under your own account, exactly as described in the Terms of Service and EULA;
  • all content you create, schedule, publish, or distribute through your instance;
  • complying with all laws applicable to your use of the Service.
06

Free Trial

Hosted plans may offer a free trial (currently 7 days) with full access to the trialed plan. A valid payment method is required to start a trial, but you are not charged until the trial ends. You can cancel at any time during the trial and you will never be charged.

When the trial ends without an active paid subscription, your instance is suspended — it stops running and its pages stop being served, but its data is preserved. If no payment is made within 14 days of suspension, the instance and its data are permanently deleted.

Trials are limited to one per person or organization. Creating multiple trials, or using a trial to circumvent limits or abuse the Service, may result in immediate termination without notice.

07

Suspension, Cancellation & Deletion

For paid Hosted plans, if a renewal payment fails we retry it automatically and hold your instance active for the 7-day grace window described in the Refund Policy. If payment still cannot be collected, your instance is suspended (stopped, data preserved). There is no free Community Edition on the Hosted Service — the Community-fallback behavior described in the Terms, EULA, and Refund Policy is specific to self-hosted installations and does not apply to Hosted plans.

If you cancel, your instance remains active through the end of the period you already paid for, then follows the same suspension path.

A suspended instance that is not reactivated within 14 days is permanently deleted, together with its data. We will use reasonable efforts to remind you before deletion at the email address on your subscription.

08

Backups

The Hosted Service does not include a backup service. We do not keep restorable copies of your workspace for you, there is no restore-on-request, and there is no backup download inside the app.

MBX Flow does have a built-in backup and restore feature, but it belongs to the self-hosted edition, where the operator runs it on their own server and keeps the file themselves. It is switched off on Hosted plans because a downloadable copy of a Hosted instance would carry credentials belonging to our infrastructure rather than to you.

What this means in practice: if you delete something by mistake, we cannot bring it back. Keep your own copies of anything you would not want to lose.

Your data-protection rights are unaffected — in particular your right to obtain a copy of the personal data we hold about you, and to have it deleted. Write to support@mbxflow.com to exercise either.

09

Your Data on the Hosted Service

On a Hosted plan, MediaBoxEnt processes the data inside your instance solely to operate the Service on your behalf, acting as a processor/service provider. We do not use your instance data for any other purpose, we do not sell it, and staff access is limited to operations and support. You remain the data controller for the content and audiences you process with the Service.

The subprocessors used to run Hosted instances (including our cloud infrastructure provider) and the full details of hosted data handling, backups, and deletion timelines are described in the "Hosted Plans" section of our Privacy Policy.

10

License on Hosted Plans

Your Hosted subscription includes the software license for your plan tier — the license and its activation are managed for you as part of the Service, and the EULA governs your use of the Software with this Addendum's adjustments.

The Hosted Service provides access to the MBX Flow application only. You may not access, or attempt to access, the underlying server, operating system, or any instance other than your own, and you may not resell or provide the Hosted Service itself to third parties. The agency clarification in the EULA still applies: managing your own clients' social accounts and brands through your own instance is permitted.

11

Fair Use of Resources

Each Hosted instance is provisioned with resources appropriate to its plan's account and publishing limits. If your instance generates load far outside normal product use (for example, through deliberate abuse or automated flooding), we may throttle, suspend, or — in serious cases — terminate it, with notice where practicable. Ordinary heavy use of the product's own features is never "abuse."

12

Refunds & the Right of Withdrawal

The Refund Policy applies to Hosted plans. Because your first charge only occurs after the free trial ends, you can always evaluate the Service at no cost and cancel before ever paying. For consumers in the EU, EEA, UK, or Switzerland, the 14-day right of withdrawal described in the Refund Policy applies to Hosted purchases in addition to the trial.

13

Changes to this Addendum

We may update this Addendum from time to time. Minor changes — clarifications, corrections, or updates that reflect new functionality — take effect when the revised version is posted here, and the "Last Updated" date above tells you when that happened.

Where a change is material and works to your disadvantage — a price increase, a reduction in the features or resources your plan includes, or a change to your rights — we will notify you in advance by email at the address on your subscription, at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you do not accept it, you may cancel before it takes effect: your instance runs to the end of the period you have already paid for, and you are never charged under terms you declined. We do not apply material changes retroactively.

Nothing in this section affects any right you have under the mandatory consumer-protection law of your country of residence.
